Status Concept
WhatsApp status concept, a more efficent and effective way to change colors and text on the Whatsapp status. I made this on January 2025 and it got implemented March 2025.
Problems
This wasn’t client work. It wasn’t in my niche. It started with a frustration: I’d been posting more text on WhatsApp status and realized… There’s no efficient way to style it. Bad UX. It felt like WhatsApp was lagging behind. So I built something better — and made the idea so clear through motion, they had no excuse. WhatsApp schedule concept — a friend reached out with another idea: scheduled messages. At first, I passed on it. But when another friend showed me their Figma design for the same concept, I decided to bring it to life. The challenge wasn’t just to animate it — it was to make the experience feel native to WhatsApp, as if it already existed.
Solutions
I kept the concept sharp and focused: What if you could tap through a clean carousel of color options for your status text? Nothing wild. Just smooth UX, intuitive interaction, and a clean visual flow. Then I animated the experience to show what the upgrade could feel like — not just how it would look. It became a perfect intersection of design, motion, and product thinking. 📈 The Result Huge engagement on WhatsApp status Strong feedback from designers and regular users And yes — WhatsApp rolled out the exact feature shortly after Coincidence? Maybe. But timing says otherwise. Either way, this proves one thing Good ideas land better when shown through great motion. WhatsApp Schedule Concept - I wanted the animation to feel smooth, intuitive, and familiar. Here’s how I did it: Manual keyframe animation → I animated the keyboard as if someone was actually typing, key by key. Native WhatsApp feel → Kept the UI simple and clean, with the same pacing and flow users expect. Fast execution → From concept handoff to final animation, it took me less than 8 hours. It was one of those projects that was just fun to make — and it showed in the result. The Result A clear, working concept of scheduled messages for WhatsApp. Engagement and feedback from peers who saw it and immediately understood the value. And who knows — maybe WhatsApp picks this one up too (and gives credit this time).
